We're hiring a founding engineer to stand up the platform from zero — accounting, tax, FP&A, billing, vendors, inventory, all under one roof, with AI threaded through it, not bolted on.
01The work
You'll set the technical direction at Dotio (previously EvryThink) and ship the first real version of the product with the founders. Architecture, stack, infra, AI — your call, your code.
- Own the stack end to end, from database schema to deploy pipeline. Pick the tools you'll actually live with.
- Build the financial core — ledger, tax, planning, billing — so it scales from a two-person startup to a Series B without a rewrite.
- Thread AI through the product, not as a chat box on the side. Agentic flows that read a feed, propose entries, and learn from corrections.
- Run the cloud on AWS, GCP, or Azure. CI/CD, monitoring, on-call — it's all yours until the team grows.
- Sit with the founders on every meaningful call. Product, architecture, hiring — you're in the room.
02About you
- You've shipped products from zero, not just features inside someone else's platform.
- Strong on AI and ML, ideally with a financial or data-heavy domain under your belt.
- Deep with the cloud — AWS, GCP, or Azure — and comfortable owning infra without a platform team.
- Agile and CI/CD are muscle memory, not slides you read once.
- You explain technical calls to non-technical co-founders without losing either the nuance or the patience.
- Entrepreneurial wiring, good humor, work-life balance instincts, and you get the droid references.
